Overview

This guide shows you how to set up a “Custom TradingView Alert V2” trigger in the SageMaster Smart Assist Creation Wizard. By following these steps, you can unlock all available configuration options for Money Management and Stop Loss & Take Profit types, as well as properly format TradingView alerts that SageMaster will process.


Purpose and Audience

Purpose:

Previously, when users selected a Custom TradingView Alert trigger, only a limited set of Money Management and Stop Loss/Take Profit options were available. This guide explains the new “V2” configuration, where those limitations are removed. You’ll learn how to expose the full range of settings in the Wizard and how to send TradingView alerts in JSON format to control those settings.

Audience:

This guide is for SageMaster users who are comfortable creating Smart Assists and are familiar with basic trading concepts. You should already know how to set up alerts on TradingView and how to navigate the SageMaster Smart Assist Creation Wizard.


Steps / Instructions

1. Start Creating a New Smart Assist

  1. Log in to SageMaster and click the Setup Smart Assist button (or go to Assists → Create Wizard).
  2. In the left-hand pane, you will see the step-by-step sections:

2. Select the Trigger Condition

  1. Under Trigger Condition, choose Custom TradingView Alert V2 from the dropdown.
  2. Note that the text referencing “Ensure your TP/SL type is either ‘Fixed Stop Loss and Take Profit’...” is now removed.
  3. Click Next Step to proceed.

Validation: If you see the “Custom TradingView Alert V2” option and the restrictive text is gone, you’ve selected the correct trigger.
